Today I present a new photo t-shirt by Anthony Bailey and SnappedAway. If you want to read our previous blog posts about Anthony’s work follow this link here.
The selected photograph is one from his Reach Out series. It is beautifully composed image where he is looking up at his hand against the light. It’s difficult not to be captivated by the explosion of rays coming from the gesture of the artist’s fingers. He is literally shaping it with his hand, demonstrating the photographer’s ability to playfully attract the viewers eyes – it’s all light, he seems to say, light of seeing, light’s record, light of understanding, and the active hand as the key component, the action being simple, gentle, contemplative – a childlike, penetrating meditation of an artist as a philosopher. Its almost like he needs to cover his and our eyes from the pure power of the recorded reality.

The t-shirt looks really striking. The photo shoot took place in central London and at Tate Modern Gallery and you can see the last days of the Great British Summer. Enjoy the images.
