Serge Poliakov
Born in Odessa in 1974, which was part of the Soviet Union at that time and now it is Ukraine. His work covers both documentary and fine art.
“Using the terms of school educational programm, I would say photography to me means a blend of Literature and Geometry, I’d also add some physical training classes because you really have to walk a lot. Such a definition may not to sound too serious, but I really feel a lot of similarity between photography and poetry. I believe it, in both cases, is like a working with rhithmically and semantically connected images, visual or verbal”.
